There are some nice local restaurants in the area as well. Right within the limits of Port Matilda is Brothers Pizza - one of the best pizzerias in Pennsylvania. For a more diverse menu and a tasty pint, the Port Matilda Hotel and Tavern is a local favorite. If you prefer Chinese, there's a Panda Express nearby as well.
Port Matilda has many parks as well. Autumn Meadow Park is a great family destination and Arboretum Park is the perfect place for a challenging hike. It might be a small place, but it's an ideal place to live and raise a family.
